falang

A vessel titled falang. Falang (ຝລັ່ງ) is Lao for foreign person. Originally used for French people in Laos, it is used for Westerners more generally today. Where the artist who is mixed planned to sign their name on the bottom of the vessel, they accidentally signed “falang” (talk about a freudian slip—in slip).
