My Son, Seams Visible, He Got Two Hundred, Shche ne vmerla Ukrayina (2022)
A 2022 performance. You receive documentation of it: the one of a kind hand built ceramic sculpture and printed photos.
The performance was rolling slabs, making joints and pinching the clay at it’s Sean’s while listening to “When David Heard” by Eric Whitacre and thinking of war, unexplored ordnance, and how countries still stockpile and use indiscriminate weapons in war that kill and maim civilians during war and long after they are over.
This ceramic sculpture sings; you can partake in the performance when you wet the rim and run your finger around it to produce singing bowl sounds.
